MCEDSV Strategic Planning to Ensure Quality Victim Services

June 26, 2019

This training will take into account that strategic planning is centered on a mission focused and survivor-centered approach. Together we will work through the complexities that agencies face when creating an agency vision. This presentation will be discussion and scenario based. Topics will include the roles of stakeholders, mission-focused goals and plans, steps to developing and implementing a strategic plan, how to have crucial conversations, and the realities of capacity versus vision.

1. Attendees will be able to identify steps to take to ensure that the strategic plan is mission-focused and survivor-centered.

2. Attendees will be able to identify key stakeholders and roles needed for developing and implementing a strong strategic plan.

3.Network with other directors and board members for real-time tips and resources for creating strategic plans and goals that are survivor-centered, trauma informed, and intersectional.

This gathering is for executive directors and agency board members. This is an advanced decision-making and organizational culture conversation. It will require open and honest discussion with a mind toward survivor-centered policies, positive change, and future-oriented thinking.
